Fall Garden
* Keep watering flowers and lawn
* Repair dead patches of lawn with sod; reseeding may not take this late
* Plant spring flowering bulbs until ground is frozen
* Mow over leaves and use as mulch (stop raking)
* Dead head flowers for seeds
* Separate perennials and re-plant or share with friends
* Watch for the Asian lady beetle. Avoid temptation to smash them,
they leave a stain. Vacuuming is the best control
indoors. Caulk cracks and crevices
* Apply a soluble nitrogen fertilizer to the lawn. Fall application will
promote good root development and provide an early spring green up.
